What are all the available referral statuses?
Here's a quick guide to walk you through the difference between each status:
Category | Referral Status | Definition |
In Progress Statuses | Not yet helped | the default status when a referral is first created, and no action has been taken yet |
Needs client action | this update is usually made by the CBO and means that the seeker has do something before services can be provided
Pending | this update is usually made by a CBO and often means that the referral is being processed
Successful Statuses | Referred elsewhere | the referral couldn’t be fulfilled, so a helper or the CBO referred the seeker to a different program |
Got help | the seeker received services and got the help they needed!
Eligible | the seeker is eligible to receive services but hasn’t actually received them yet
Needs Action Statuses | Couldn’t contact | the CBO was unable to contact the seeker; if possible, follow up with the CBO to provide alternative contact information for the seeker |
Not eligible | the seeker was ineligible for the program; next step is to refer the seeker to a different program
No capacity | the program doesn’t have capacity to help the seeker; next step is to refer the seeker to a different program
Couldn't get help | the seeker was unable to get help (the reason could vary); next step is to refer the seeker to a different program
No longer interested | the seeker has indicated they no longer need or are interested in this program; next step is to follow up with the seeker and make sure their underlying need has been met |
